Inmate Visitation (RCCC)

If you're planning to visit someone at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, please note that the street is currently closed due to significant construction at the intersection of Lambert Road and Bruceville Road. To access the facility, take Twin Cities Road to Bruceville Road and head north toward the jail. You can reach Twin Cities Road from I-5, Highway 99, or Franklin Boulevard.

Inmate Visit Registration and Information

YOU AND YOUR VEHICLE ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH WHILE ON JAIL PROPERTY. YOU WILL BE SEARCHED (PAT-DOWN OR METAL DETECTOR) BEFORE YOU ARE ALLOWED TO VISIT. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE FREE OF ANY TYPE OF METAL THAT WILL ACTIVATE THE METAL DETECTOR. ACTIVATION OF THE METAL DETECTOR MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF VISITING PRIVILEGES.

Inmate Visitation Schedule Notifications

No more than three (3) visitors (including infants/children) will be allowed per inmate.

All visitors over 18 must present one form of picture identification, as described below, when registering to visit and whenever a uniformed officer requests to see it.

No one under 18 years of age will be allowed to visit unless:

  • They are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian must provide proof of relationship for accompanying minors (birth certificate or court-ordered guardianship papers.)
  • They are the wife/husband of the inmate and in possession of a certified copy of the marriage certificate.
  • They are in possession of a certified copy of an emancipation declaration.

The following persons are not allowed to visit at RCCC:

  • Any person released from the Main Jail or RCCC within the last 30 days.
  • Any person on Parole from any state.
  • Any person actively participating in a work release or work furlough program.
  • Any person previously convicted of a felony which resulted in confinement in any state prison, unless with prior consent of the Jail Commander or Watch Supervisor (PC 4571).

If visitors leave the visiting room once the visit has started, they will not be permitted to return.

Occasionally, unforeseen circumstances require the cancellation of inmate visits without forewarning. To the best of our ability, we will provide notifications of any such changes that significantly impact visitations at either facility via the Sacramento Sheriff's Office Twitter feed. Please follow us on Twitter @sacsheriff to receive timely notifications. Additional inmate information can be accessed by calling 916-874-6752.
